Broadband Internet through satellite        

Unfortunately, not the whole of France is eligible for an ADSL connection. With DSL there are a number of limiting factors, mostly due to the physical distance to the exchange and the availability of wire pairs on the Dslam in that exchange.

A number of companies now fill that gap with affordable two way broadband internet with the use of a satellite dish.

Packages start around €400 for the hardware, €160 for the installation and €29.90 per month for a 2Mbps download speed and a 128Kbps upload speed.  

Although depending on which satellite package you opt for, the dish tends to be similar in size as the ones used for regular TV and in most cases it can be positioned discreetly.
